Food Pantry

In 2001, 1,074 bags of groceries were distributed to 791 people. This year, 2002, we have already topped that number. Donations are always needed. With a shrinking job market and, during summers and holidays, with the added expense of feeding children that normally eat breakfast and lunch at school, there is an increased demand on the services of our pantry.

This is what goes into a pantry bag when we have all the items available:

  • 3 cans of meat

  • 1 peanut butter

  • 6 cans of veggies

  • 1 package of pasta

  • 1 can of fruit

  • 2 cans of milk

  • 2 cans of soup

  •  2 cans of beans

  • 1 package of dried beans

  • 1 box of crackers

  • 1 box of cereal

  • 1 bag of flour or cornmeal

Whenever possible, we also like to add:

  • 1 bar of soap

  • 1 roll of toilet paper

Many thanks to those who support us. Without you, our services would not be possible. We are open from 9:00-1:00 Monday-Friday and are always glad to accept donations.
