Our Soup Kitchen is open regardless of rain, sleet,
snow or temperature. We serve from 11:00am-11:45am, Monday - Friday offering a hot meal, kind word and temporary reprieve from life for those who need us. Many people who think of the hungry as old homeless men on the street are suprised to find out that we serve women, senior citizens and yes, even children. We are busiest closer to the last of the month when funds are the lowest for the working poor. Those who have jobs but exisit from paycheck to paycheck and those on fixed incomes also visit our kitchen. During the first part of the month we tend to serve fewer people. However lately, it seems that there is no time when we are not busy. |
